Sydney Sweeney Is Allegedly Embroiled In A Lawsuit With A Swimwear Brand

LA Collective is suing the actress.

Sydney Sweeney has allegedly found herself locked in a legal battle with swimwear brand LA Collective after breaking a contract with the brand, per TMZ.
According to documents obtained by the outlet, the brand claims it had landed on an agreement with Sweeney last year which would see her become the influencer for their latest launch, Somewhere Swimwear. The brand alleges that the actress was on board with the project and had approved all designs and production prototypes, then cancelled the agreement, seemingly out of nowhere and with zero explanation.
But the drama doesn't stop there. LA Collective is also claiming that after bailing on the deal, Sweeney then appropriated their designs and used them on at least five episodes of Euphoria.
The brand, who were projected to sell at least $3 million worth of swimsuits under the deal, are seeking for the actress to pay damages.
There's no denying that Sweeney has the power to sell swimsuits. Look no further than her appearance in a pink, strappy, one-piece swimsuit during an episode of Euphoria, which racked up a 500-person wait list in just 24 hours. Frankie's Bikinis quite literally couldn't keep up with the demand for their Gemma Suit, which was flying out the door with people trying to recreate the look for themselves.
Then, during a holiday in Hawaii (which was giving major White Lotus vibes), she was seen sporting a floral bikini from Montce which garnered similar interest.
Sweeney and her team are yet to respond to any outlets who have sought comments on the issue.
