What's in a bra fitting? Most of us will be familiar with the tape measure and awkward fitting room experience, only to be left less than satisfied with the bra we end up buying. Victoria's Secret is aiming to change that, one expertedly fitted piece of lingerie at a time.
Australians might know Victoria's Secret for two things: the Angels and the beauty line. The VS Angels, 'Fantasy Bra' and impossible beauty standards are no more, with the new brand instead championing every type of woman (and tapping women like Paloma Eslesser, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Megan Rapinoe as brand ambassadors slash consultants to boot). The thing that hasn't changed, however, is their commitment to fashion forward designs that actually fit.
Victoria's Secret and ELLE Australia teamed up to throw a very modern lingerie party. It was a styling and bra fitting session all in one, with ELLE Australia editor Alex Bruce-Smith taking guests through the latest lingerie trends (more on that in a minute) and the value in finding your exact right fit.
"After being fitted for the first time properly in years (if ever), I realised it wasn't just about getting the cup and frame size right," Alex told guests on the night. "Some shapes just don't work for your boobs. And that's fine! Once you find the one that does, then hey — there's a dozen colours to choose from."
Guests were then treated to a one-on-one fitting session with Victoria's Secret's highly (highly) trained bra fitters, so they could find their exact right size and style. It takes around two years for VS's research and development team to design a bra, so you know you're trying on the highest quality fit.
The favourite of the night? The 'Body by Victoria Demi', Victoria's Secret's top selling bra, loved by fashionistas the world over for its memory fit lining and smoothing features.
Right now, only the Victoria's Secret Chadstone store is equipped to find your perfect bra fit, but as they say, watch this space...

The Top 3 Lingerie Trends For 2022
So what are the trends we're seeing right now? Read on....
Call it the Bridgerton-effect, but corsets (and corset-inspired pieces) aren't going anywhere. From this year's Met Gala to Dua Lipa in Dion Lee, corsetry is everywhere right now. It's less about restriction and more about imbuing a little sexiness into your day-to-day wear.
Lingerie as outerwear
If there's one thing we're certain of post-pandemic, it's that 24/7 activewear is out and dressing up is back (think: TikTok's fave night luxe aesthetic). Wearing your lingerie as outerwear is less Regina George in Mean Girls and more Kourtney Kardashian's new aesthetic. Wear a bustier over a white tee, a lacy bra (or teddy) under a black blazer, or indulge in some bra straps so pretty, they're meant to be seen.
Once upon a time, women had to make a choice between aesthetics and practicality (think: Bridget Jones' infamous granny panties). That time has passed. These days, lingerie that looks invisble under your 90s-inspired silk slip dress looks equally as good when the slip comes off.
