It takes a certain kind of event to lure Australia's fashion crowd anywhere during the non-stop rollercoaster that is Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, but Paco Rabanne's dinner party, hosted by Sarah Ellen, was up to the task.
Descending on the newly opened Ora restaurant in Waterloo, a crowd that included Pip Edwards, Mimi Elashiry, Roberta Pecoraro, Nathan Joliffe, Nadia Fairfax, Caro Tran and Sean Brady celebrated the partnership between Paco and Sarah—a match made in heaven.
"Paco is a brand that I feel very privileged to work with, because they represent self expression and liberty, which are two things that I value very deeply," Sarah told ELLE Australia. "So many of my friends also stand for those values, and it only made sense to introduce them to the Paco world."
As an extra surprise, Sarah spent a week painting an artwork for each guest, using colours she felt represented each person.
"It was definitely a labour of love," she said. "I've always been fascinated by colour and the way it can transform your mood and evoke different emotions, or shift an entire space. So yeah, I wanted to give my friends a little bit of colour."
