It's a well known fact that Australia's music scene is fighting for its life at the moment. And at its biggest night of the year, the ARIA Awards, it's clear that our best and brightest creatives aren't afraid to bring their style to the proverbial battlefield.
Rolling out the red carpet at one of Sydney's last standing homes of live music, the Hordern Pavillion, the 2022 ARIA Award nominees are not only rivalling the lush weather with their balmy ensembles, but proving that nothing can dampen their shine.
It's been a huge year for Australian music. Between soured festivals (see: Splendour In The Grass and the shutting of iconic venues (RIP our late night go-to Frankies Pizza), the tenacity and perseverance is out in full force tonight.
Right across the road from where Sydney hospitality proprietors Mary's Group are opening a new 1,200 seated live music venue, stars including pop-artist GRAACE and fan-favourite duo Cat & Calmell are proving that the future of Australian music isn't just in safe hands: they're in fashionable ones too.
And while we wait all the winners to be announced (be sure you're watching the awards here!) we're leaning into the glamour and drama Australia's music scene are bringing on the red carpet.
Below, your definitive guide to what the who's-who of the music scene are wearing to the 2022 ARIA Awards.
