It's a good day when two of Britain's most attractive, eligible singles are rumoured to be dating. Yes, we're talking about Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor and Spiderman's Andrew Garfield, who were allegedly getting quite cosy at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards last week, according to an onlooker.
"Andrew and Phoebe clicked straight away, there was an immediate attraction," a source told The Sun, of their connection at the event.
"They know each other through various acquaintances in the business and have plenty in common. But this is certainly no one-off encounter. After leaving together, they've since met up and are acting like a proper couple."
The rumour was seemingly bolstered by a number of blind items submitted to Deuxmoi, in which numerous people claimed to have seen the pair leaving the GQ party together, with another claiming to have seen them at a bar together prior to the event.
"Andrew Garfield and Phoebe Dynevor left the GQ party together...his hand was around her waist - do we ship it," one submission read.
"I just heard Phoebe Dynevor and Andrew Garfield are dating. Had to tell you," another added.
Deuxmoi took the liberty of clarifying that the second person did not submit the tip because of the first, quelling any rumours that people were simply piling on and adding to the surrounding noise. So, if the tips are separate, does this add to their legitimacy? No. But it makes us feel a little warmer inside.
Tragically, there's no photographic evidence of the pair together at the esteemed event, but given how they looked individually, we can only imagine they looked like one hell of a power couple.
Dynevor appeared in a scalloped crop top and crocheted skirt set by Victoria Beckham, complete with Gianvito Rossi Georgina and diamond jewellery.
Garfield arrived in a Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit, looking incredibly dapper in the all-black ensemble.
If the rumours are true, it's still very early days and arguably not something to get excited about, but tell that to the millions of people praying there's a semblance of truth to this chatter.
Dyenvor was last romantically linked to Hollywood's infamous dater, Pete Davidson. The pair reportedly started dating in early 2021 and were seen canoodling at Wimbledon in July, but broke up just a month later due to issues of physical distance and clashing schedules.
"The distance put a strain on the relationship and it made it hard to maintain," a source told Us Weekly, before adding that the pair "had a great time while they were together."
Two months later, Davidson would kiss Kim Kardashian in an SNL skit and they would go on to date for nine months. Most recently, the comedian has been linked to supermodel Emily Ratajkowski. Dynevor, however, has kept a fairly low profile when it comes to her romantic life and hasn't been linked to anyone since...until now.
As for Garfield's relationship history, he has been previously linked to Emma Stone and Rita Ora, most recently splitting with his model girlfriend of eight months, Alyssa Miller.
So, given that our two alleged lovebirds are both Britain-based, we can assume (if the rumours are true) that they won't have to deal with long-distance too often, pending on their work schedules. Does this mean they might be able to make it work for the long-haul? We can only hope.
For now, though, we should sit tight and wait for either one to comment on the legitimacy of the rumours.
