Warning: This story contains spoilers for Emily In Paris season two.
After binge-watching the entirety of Emily In Paris' first season, fans wanted more—and it wasn't long until a second season was locked, loaded, and binged watched once again by the masses.
With just 10 episodes in each instalment, it seemed frankly rude (at best) for the show to stop at just 20 snippets of Emily Cooper's lush Parisian life as she works for a US marketing firm and meets a bunch of (very good looking) characters along the way.
That's why even before the second season was released in December 2021, talk of a third season gained momentum.
Then, Netflix confirmed a third AND fourth season of the hit show, so somebody please pass us a celebratory baguette. Here, everything we know about the upcoming seasons of Emily In Paris.
What will happen in the third season of 'Emily In Paris', and will Emily choose Paris or Chicago?
If you missed our message earlier, we'll say it again—major season two spoilers ahead!
In the final episode of Emily In Paris saison deux, the marketing gun is faced with a difficult choice in deciding whether she will return to Chicago where a promotion awaits at her existing company, or to take Sylvie's job offer and remain in Paris.
The last scene shows Emily finally making the call, but just when she's on the brink revealing what she chose, the credits show up. Nooo!
But in September 2022, Netflix finally answered that question for us. Releasing a sneak peek of the series at its annual Tudum event, the clip reveals Emily ultimately deciding to stay in Paris. Clearly spiralling after making such a huge life decision, Emily tries to convince herself she's aligned with her fellow Parisians by cutting her own bangs.
Watch the clip below.
Netflix also dropped the first images from season three.
In one picture, Emily is seen speaking to Alfie, so it looks like their romance is still on the table. Of course, there's another where she's seen speaking to Gabriel, so he's also still in the picture. Sacré bleu just tell us what happens already!
What else has been said about 'Emily In Paris' season three?
It's now been confirmed that Lucien Laviscount, who plays Alfie in Emily in Paris has been upgraded to a series regular in season three, which no doubt means the marketing gun and banker have a lot of unfinished business with Emily.
Collins has also been vocal about returning to Paris to film. She shared an update when she finished filming season two, writing: "Au revoir, Paris! I feel so lucky to have spent these last few months in this beautiful city. I'm leaving here filled with so many amazing memories, special moments with my family, endless appreciation to our incredible dedicated and talented crew, and another season officially wrapped! Very excited to share it with you all soon. We're heading home, but keeping a little piece of us here until the next time…"
To add, Emily In Paris' costume designer, Marylin Fitoussi has also opened up about what she hopes to bring to a third season of the show.
"My dream for season three would be to recycle costumes [from] season 1," she told ELLE USA.
"I don't know if we can do that, but I'm dreaming to bring some of Lily's most iconic outfits to the recycling workshop and see what they can do and recut and make."
When will 'Emily in Paris' season three be released?
As we saw previously, season one and two dropped 13-months apart. Going off these calculations, December 2022 could be on...
We'll update this story as more information is announced.
