A mysterious disappearance? A small coastal town? A long list of Australian talent? What more could you want from Stan's highly-anticipated new original drama, Eden, which promises to have you hooked from episode one.
The complex, multi-generational tale is set in the New South Wales' Northern Rivers region of Byron Bay, a hot location for content lately with Netflix also announcing the release of its upcoming reality series set in the small coastal town, exploring the lives of social media influencers that live in the area—aptly titled Bryon Baes.
According to Stan's official synopsis, the "mystery of Eden unfolds in an idyllic coastal town, where the disappearance of a young woman triggers a devastating chain of events which lays bare the dark and hidden heart of the community. Long-buried secrets are dragged into the open as lives and deeds intersect over one fractured summer and its aftermath."
The upcoming drama, described as an exploration of human relationships through the lens of sex and desire, is led by Australian up-and-comers BeBe Bettencourt and Sophie Wilde, alongside The Flash's Keiynan Lonsdale and American Horror Story's Cody Fern. Gold Logie winner Samuel Johnson is also among the talented cast, as well as True Detective's Christopher James Baker.
And if that's not even enough to have you pressing play, Eden's creative team was made up by all female writers, including head writer Vanessa Gazy, alongside Jess Brittain, Anya Beyersdorf, Clare Sladden and Penelope Chai.
Eden will premiere on Stan on June 11, with all episodes dropping at once and you can watch the first sneak peek below.
