DeuxMoi's Book Has Already Been Snapped Up By HBO For An Onscreen Adaptation And We Smell Drama

You just know the tea is piping.

Given that we're living in a world that moves at breakneck speed, it should come as no surprise to learn that Deuxmoi's book has already been snapped up by HBO Max for an onscreen adaptation. The creator of the infamous gossip Instagram account (which has given us all kinds of wild, celebrity intel over the past few years) will be releasing their book in November this year.
While the existence of the actual book was only announced in March, HBO executive producers Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti clearly know a good thing when they see one, because they wasted no time securing the rights to the show.

Aptly titled, Anon Pls, the book is being published by Harper Collins and is set to be a thinly-veiled, reminiscent tale of Deuxmoi's actual life.
Per Harper, the story will follow Cricket Lopez, assistant to a well-known celebrity stylist, as she launches a celebrity gossip blog on an alcohol-induced whim. As the account's popularity grows, Lopez becomes a celebrity herself, though an anonymous one.
At some point, the tale is set to take a romantic turn, with Lopez meeting a "steamy new love interest" online, but she can't be sure if his intentions are pure.
"As the account grows and becomes more and more famous, [Lopez] has to wonder: is it – the fame, the insider access, the escape from real life – really worth losing everything she has?"

We don't know about you, but our interest is certainly piqued. The HBO storyline is slated to follow the same pattern as the book, though we have no word on when a potential release date could be.
On the plus side, we do have an official release date for Anon Pls, and it's November 8. A few, solid months away but something to work towards at least. For now, we'll be left to furiously hit refresh on Deuxmoi's page and waste away hours speculating over who their real identity may be.
