‘Only Murders In The Building’ Season 2 Sees The Trio Hiding Evidence & Proving Their Innocence

Manhattan's most thrilling murder-mystery returns.

By ELLE Team
Disney+'s Only Murders In The Building left us on one hell of a cliff-hanger, and thankfully the fashion-forward true crime comedy will return for a second season.
It's the most stylish murder-mystery set in Manhattan. Selena Gomez, who stars as Mabel, teams up with Steve Martin, Charles, and Martin Short, Oliver, to solve a mysterious murder in their building. The crime is the catalyst for the trio to start a podcast, documenting their investigation of (you guessed it), murders in the building.
Between wanderlust shots of New York's Upper West Side, the Arconia building itself is eerily similar to landmark haunts including The Dakota and The Belnord, and an unlikely comedic trio (who knew that Gomez, Martin and Short had such great chemistry), this show delivers on all fronts.
The show's costuming will also have you dreaming of a white Christmas, with the best of winter fashion on display. Between And Just Like That… and this series, we're booking flights to New York as soon as possible.
So, with filming for the second season already in progress we've rounded up everything you need to know about Only Murders In The Building Season 2.

What Is Season 2 Of ‘Only Murders In The Building’ About?

Since binge watching the first season, we've been desperately trying to figure out the plot of the second season of Only Murders In The Building.
Considering the trio managed to crack the case of Tim Keno's killing, we have no doubts these strategic masterminds will be able to uncover what happened to Bunny.
But what will happen to Cinda Canning's podcast? And who was the mysterious person behind the text that Charles and Oliver received? What will happen between Mabel and Oscar? So many damn unresolved questions.
While no major details regarding the plot has been revealed, the show's creator John Hoffmann has revealed to Deadline that we'll learn more about the Arconia's history in Season 2.
Plus, Cara Delevingne has just been revealed as playing Selena Gomez' love interest this season. Speaking to Vanity Fair, co-creator John Hoffman said that the women's friendship works to their advantage with their on-screen chemistry.
"It was amazing to have the two of them know each other and feel comfortable," Hoffman said. "It's a little sparky in all the right ways that makes you feel like, 'Oh, someone's opening someone's world.'"
Bring it on.

Who Will Star In Season 2 ‘Of Only Murders In The Building’?

We're pleased to report that all three of our protagonists, Gomez, Martin and Short, will return to the series for its second season.
Earlier in the month Martin shared a rare selfie of the trio on Twitter, captioning the picture "our first day of shooting of "Only Murders in the Building!" We're all happy to be back."
Joining the cast will be British supermodel Cara Delevingne. Delevigne will join the cast as 'Alice', who is a sophisticated art world insider who becomes enmeshed in the mystery.
In February, the 29-year-old told ELLE US that her character is "definitely most like me than any other character I have ever played... But with some more daring looks, for sure".
She also spoke about working with Gomez on the vibrant set, revealing that her history with the former Disney star goes way, way back.
"Selena is a very special friend, and it's been so fun to get to work with her for the first time. Well, actually, second time... She actually hired me when I had just become a model, and she had designed a clothing line."
The model and actor added: "Of course, working with Steve Martin and Martin Short is like a master class in comedy. I feel so lucky to get the opportunity."
One look at Delevingne's art-filled eclectic Los Angeles home, we couldn't think of a more fitting choice.
In October, Delevigne and Gomez attended an NBA game together, with the public appearance sparking rumours that the duo may be working on something together. Fortunately for us, we now know their secret.
Gomez admitted to Extra that working with Delevigne is "so fun".
"We were just dying and laughing most of the time because we just know each other so well," Gomez revealed. We can't wait to see this pair take to the small screen.
