After splitting with girlfriend of four years Camila Morrone in August, Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly set his sights on none other than international supermodel, Gigi Hadid.
Per a spicy new report from PEOPLE, DiCaprio and Hadid are "getting to know each other", with multiple sources dishing further details on the (very) significant potential new romance.
Obviously, long time fans and followers of DiCaprio's have their doubts given that Hadid is 27 years old—two years senior of the climate activist's supposed 25-year-old cut-off. We jest, but the facts have stacked up thus far—over two decades, not one of the 47-year-old's partners have been over the age of 25, with Morrone having just reached the milestone shortly before her breakup with DiCaprio.
Perhaps DiCaprio has decided to expand upon the supposed age bracket, because according to PEOPLE, the star is "definitely pursuing Gigi".
"They've been seen hanging out with groups of people. It's only been a few weeks since the split. Since then, he's been hanging out with friends and family," another source added.
Gigi split from her long time partner and father of her child, Zayn Malik, back in October 2021. It appears she's remained single ever since.
Now, DiCaprio has recently been pictured in New York City, which is where Hadid lives with her two-year-old daughter Khai.
To add more fuel to the fire, sources have told Us Weekly that DiCaprio has his "eyes set" on Hadid, but the pair are just "friends" at this point because the mum-of-one "doesn't want to be romantic with [him] right now."
Following these reports, Leo and Gigi were photographed together for the first time, looking very cosy. A pic obtained by the Daily Mail shows the pair at a party at NYC hotspot Casa Cipriani, thrown by Leo's friends Richie Akiva and Darren Dzienciol. The image shows Gigi and Leo leaning towards each other to talk, their faces very close together. We're not reading TOO much into a photo, of course; they could simply be trying to talk to each other over the (presumably) thudding house music. But it could be legit...?
We'll await further conclusive evidence before we get too excited, but given the increasing number of rumours we can't help but think that where there's smoke, there's got to be a piping hot fire.
Meanwhile, Morrone is reportedly "doing fine", following her breakup with DiCaprio. "She has a big group of friends that really care about her," a source divulged.
"She is moving on with her life. She is not in contact with Leo," they added.
