Florence Pugh, Queen Of Power Moves, Took Her Grandma As Her Date To The Venice Film Festival

Wholesome vibes only.

Florence Pugh has given us all a welcome distraction from the relentless media scrum surrounding her upcoming film, Don't Worry Darling. As she touched down in Venice to attend the premiere of the highly anticipated film, the 26-year-old surprised us with the ultimate plus one to accompany her on the red carpet—frankly, it's the wholesome reprieve we all need.
Indeed, Pugh brought along her grandmother, Pat, who proudly posed for photos next to her superstar granddaughter before she joined her co-stars for more media fanfare.
The actor glowed in a stunning black chiffon Valentino gown which was covered in silver sequins. Nanna Pat wore a chic white suit with a multicoloured floral scarf. Suffice to say the wholesomeness was extreme—these photos are the only content you need to see today. Everything else is cancelled.

At this point, Florence Pugh merely needs to breathe in order to make global headlines with rumours about her supposed feud with Olivia Wilde, who directed DWD, at an all-time high.
Of course tabloids had a field day when it was confirmed that Pugh, who plays the lead role alongside Wilde's partner, Harry Styles, would not attend the official press conference ahead of the premiere due to a "scheduling conflict". Wilde had addressed the feud rumours in August by telling Variety that the "clickbait" headlines were "absurd".
At the press conference, Wilde shut down the rumours once again by telling media: "As for the endless tabloid gossip and noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don't feel I need to contribute to it."

They do say when it rains, it pours—and poor Florence is on the receiving end of that right now after also confirming that she has split from her partner of three years, Zach Braff.
In August, she told Harper's BAZAAR that the pair had tried to "do this separation without the world knowing", citing they were hoping to keep the break up well under wraps because "it's been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on".
"We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we're not together. So we've done that," she added.
Over the course of their relationship, the pair faced constant online scrutiny due to their 21-year age gap—something Pugh frequently had to defend. For reference, Pugh is 26 and a consenting adult.
"I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it," Pugh added of the breakup.

Despite a rocky few months of unwanted media attention, Pugh literally dazzled us with her Venice Film Festival appearance today. It was made all the better with her beloved Nan by her side—guess it goes without saying that for Flo, family will always comes first. We couldn't love her more for it.
