Every day, it seems as if a new celebrity is launching their own beauty brand. And while, yes, certain famous ventures have managed to reach cult-status à la Kylie Cosmetics, Fenty Beauty and the recently launched Rose Inc., there looks to be one more to add to our must-try list.
Introducing: R.E.M. Beauty by Ariana Grande.
An obvious link to her song "R.E.M." from her Sweetener album, her latest venture sees the musical mastermind and animal lover turn her talents to the beauty industry.
Of course, Grande is no stranger to the world of cosmetics, having launched multiple fragrances inspired by her smash hit songs: Thank U Next, R.E.M., and her latest scent, God Is A Woman.
Not long after the first rumours began to swirl, a mysterious billboard in New York's Time Square seemed to advertise the upcoming brand, but left us hungry for more.
Sure, the design of the billboard doesn't give fans much to go off, merely teasing the name and stating that it is "coming soon", but hey, mystery is certainly on brand for the pop star.
Back in August, fans noticed that a trademark for the name R.E.M. Beauty, had been listed and included a large array of cosmetic products, featuring concealers, lash serums, eyeshadows, lip tints, and brow pencils, among the products listed.
As for what's in store, well, we won't have to wait very long to find out. Grande has just dropped the official launch date for the brand, as well as every single product in her highly-anticipated collection, from lip gloss and lip stains to liquid eyeliner and false eyelashes.

What Products Are In Ariana Grande's R.E.M Beauty?

The brand itself is heavily inspired by Grande's three loves: sci-fi, vintage and horror. And as a result, the products that have been released live in silver, futuristic packaging that bring an aura of nostalgia.
"I wanted to create our own world with this packaging," Grande told Glamour. "Sort of futuristic, but nostalgic throwback. Anything that looks like it could have been on Star Trek or Barbarella or Star Wars or Black Mirror."
Vegan and cruelty-free, R.E.M. beauty will be released in chapters, with her first collection called 'Ultraviolet'. Featuring mostly products for the eyes and lips, the lineup pays homage to "cosmic illusions and futuristic lust", the brand's press statement explains. "From graphic eyes and flutter-worthy lashes to extragalactic highlights and lips that make a statement, this is everything dreams are made of."

The Ultraviolet collection is made up of 12 different products, including the At the Borderline Eyeliner Marker, Flourishing Volumizing Mascara, Midnight Shadows Eyeshadow Palette, Practically Permanent Lip Stain Marker and Interstellar Highlighter Topper, to name a few.
First of all, the eyeshadow palettes feature a mix of neutral and glitter shades, offering versatility for either day or nighttime use. Need more shimmer? Fret not. The highlight topper features a highly-pigmented, iridescent shimmer, that can also be doubled as eyeshadow. In fact, Grande herself has explained that the collection was created to be multi-tasking, so every offering can be used on the eyes, skin and lips.
As for the product names, each draws inspiration from Grande's personal life. Her 'Babydoll' palette was named after what her grandparents would call her, while the shade name 'Gildone' is after the region in Italy where her family immigrated from. The ode to her heritage continues, with the shade 'Cannoli' on the Principessa Palette and the shade 'Boca Mocha' is in honour of her hometown in Boca Raton, Florida.
